This page contains hallmarked sterling items. (usually Franklin Mint)
Sterling means the item is 92.5% pure silver. Thus a 1000 grain bar, a size they use a lot, weighs about 2.1 ounces.
But since it is not 2.1 ounces of pure silver, you
use a different method to determine the price.
You get 1.9425 oz pure silver.
spot x weight x .925 = price of the silver you are buying.
For example.... if silver is $37.50, then you pay:
(spot will vary)
37.50 x 2.1 oz x .925 = $72.85* for a 1000 grain bar
A grain is another way to measure weight! Hope this is clear!
Buy 1000 grain bar (2.1 oz) at spot of:
$37.50 = $72.85 cash each (or + 3.4% =)
If you want more than one ingot, change the cart qty and hit update.
If spot changes by more than 50 cents, you will owe more or less, depending.
Prices shown are for cash payments.
Button will add 3.4% for higher "handling" costs.
